Senator Grooms wrote and passed the key amendment to the new 10-year improvement program that will finally fix South Carolina’s roads. The program ensures that out-of-state drivers pay their fair share. Results are already being seen in the Lowcountry: In Berkeley and Charleston counties alone, already nearly 400 roads, road segments, bridges and interstates have been repaved, widened, made safer, or otherwise improved.
